Special Instructions, Language Support Highlight eLearning Spring Release

We're excited to announce the Spring release of the Advent eLearning platform!

This new release will go live on Sunday, April 11th. Please be aware that users may experience a short period of disruption while the new version is deployed.

This release allows agencies to customize course enrollment and student home pages to include special instructions unique for each client. This can greatly reduce the overhead required of your staff in implementing Advent courses as part of your diversion or alternative sentencing program.

Now agencies can display special instructions to students about other steps they may need to take either before or after taking an Advent eLearning course, including:

  • Instructions and links for completing diversion agreements or plea forms.

  • Other information/documentation defendants may need to provide for case review.

  • Contact information for agency offices and personnel.

  • Instructions for presenting course certificates and proofs of completion.

  • Most any other special instruction that needs to be communicated to students before they register for or take an Advent course.

The release also includes new support for non-English-speaking students. Advent courses use native browser translation to present courses in the language of the student. Now, for clients who send enrollment letters and other communications via Advent, the eLearning application allows clients to designate the language of the student when enrolling them into a course. Our lettershop services will translate those communications into the language selected when mailing the student.

In addition to these new features, the release also includes a number of other significant platform enhancements to make our clients’ jobs easier:

  • Expanded notifications, allowing agency personnel to be notified via email when a student assignment is Created, Paid, Started, Passed or Failed.

  • Enhanced reporting navigation, allowing users to go directly to assignments from standard and ad-hoc query results.

  • Enhanced display for clients navigating between Parent and Child eLearning accounts (main accounts and sub accounts).

Existing Advent clients should contact Advent Client Services (help@adventfs.com) if you need assistance in using this new functionality. If you’re not a current Advent client and are interested in hearing more about this new functionality and how it can work for your organization, please contact your Advent sales representative or send us an email at info@adventfs.com.
