The Advent eLearning Victim Impact Panel centers around IMPACT: After the Crash, a documentary about the 1988 Carrollton, Kentucky bus crash, which claimed 27 lives, most of them children, and injured nearly 35 others. Participants will hear powerful testimonials from survivors and family members, offering an unflinching look at the real-life consequences of impaired driving. Directed by Jason Epperson and co-produced by survivor Harold Dennis, the film shares not only the story of tragedy but also hope and resilience. Dennis went on to become a college athlete and a prominent speaker on substance abuse, receiving honors including the Arete Award for Courage in Sports (ESPN), the Gene Autry Award for Courage in Sports, and the Johnny Unitas Courage Award in Sports.
